CSR and Sustainability Initiatives

At Palma Pictures, sustainability is a commitment embedded in every aspect of our operations. Since 2009, we have implemented an Environmental Management System certified under ISO 14001 and the European EMAS regulation, strengthened in 2010 and updated with the new EU requirements in 2018, with the goal of continuously improving our environmental performance.

In 2024, we took a key step by consolidating the role of Eco Manager, responsible for supervising and ensuring sustainable practices on set, carrying out four inspections throughout the year and reporting findings to the Environmental Manager to implement appropriate measures.

Among the concrete actions carried out this year were the purchase of two small ECOFLOW electric generators to reduce emissions on shoots, and the acquisition of Payhawk software, enabling us to reduce paper. Additionally, CO2 reports per shoot were implemented for clients (currently in trial phase), monthly environmental tips meetings have been held since October, and the Friday Pulse app has been used since January to collect team suggestions and environmental incident reports.

During 2024, six sets of differentiated recycling bins were purchased to facilitate waste sorting.

Regarding electricity consumption, 41% of the energy used came from our solar panels (45.56 MWh) and, since 2010, all contracted energy has been 100% renewable (Iberdrola). Paper consumption was also reduced, and efforts continue to promote waste segregation at source and the elimination of single-use plastics both in catering and on set.

This ongoing commitment to sustainability allows us to move towards more responsible production, protecting the environments that inspire the stories we help bring to life.

Sustainability Initiatives

We have incorporated clean energy into some studio shoots and daily operations with the installation of 100 solar panels. Our dedication to sustainability is evident through our European certifications of EMAS and ISO 14001 since 2011. As a member of SEDEX, we actively promote ethical and responsible practices throughout our business.

Constantly striving to minimise waste and lessen our footprint, we take great pride in our ongoing efforts towards sustainability.
